Mia's First Boat Trip

Monday evening Joel took Mia and I out on the boat for a relaxing evening on the water. Mia LOVED the wind in her hair (it has been REALLY hot here), just being on the water makes me super happy, and Joel was excited to catch a few small, small mouth bass :)

Random Photos

Here are just a couple cute shots of our cute little girl. Enjoy!

This one is a bit mischevious...a sign of days to come, oh my!
I absolutely love her in this sleeper. Oh, it's SO cute!!! She just looks like my little bug...

Father's Day

For Joel's first Father's Day, Mia got him a T-Shirt that is like a superman logo, but has "DAD" in the middle instead of the big "S", a book about Father's and Daughter's with little sayings about how special their relationship is to her life, and an engraved picture frame that says, "Our First Father's Day" with their names and the date. Very cute. It was a great Father's Day for all of us. Joel preached at the Mull Church and did a fantastic job, then we had lunch with all my crazy family, then we spent the afternoon with my parents giving them lots of quality grandma and grandpa time with Mia.

They have 2 baby deer right now, one's mother got hit by a car, the other has a broken funky back leg and was probably left by it's mom. So they have to bottle feed and care for these two, I thought I'd include a photo, they're VERY cute!!!

Arkansas' Grand Canyon

2 Sundays ago we went to Russellville to see our good friends Lee & Andrea. On the way back we stopped to check out the sights of the Buffalo River Canyon.

More of Mia

As far as our past week or so, there's not much to report, we haven't really done anything of interest. We mostly just enjoy our few spare minutes of life here at home getting to know Mia. She is still absolutely fantastic. Never a dull moment with this child :) Well, here are some pictures, because I know that's why you're really looking at the site!!!

Bad Hair Day....

Good Hair Day....

Cute Socks!

Mia's First Bath. Joel's taking the pictures and she is looking at him like she doesn't want to be photographed naked... poor thing. She actually really enjoyed the bath and totally sprawled out in the warm water.

Mia Video

Here is a video of Mia when we were still at the hospital. She is literally only hours old and already providing SO much entertainment :) Before you watch the video, go down to the music box on the right side of the screen and hit pause on our song that plays so that you can hear Joel talking in the video. Enjoy!!!

One Lonely Photo

After much chastisement I finally got motivated to post some new photos and try to figure out how to post the cute video of Mia. I got her all situated in her rocker next to me, have my bowl of cereal here to eat while I work on it, and when I went to grab the camera, it was GONE. Joel took it today :( SO, in an attempt to fend off the angry blog readers, I'm posting a cute photo from my phone. Not the best quality, but it's pretty sweet.

Mia is still a fantastic baby, real easy going. She likes pretty intense movement which works well with a dad like she's got. There's no peaceful rocking or swinging in this family. She's gotta be flying a million miles an hour to be thrilled. She even gets scared now and then and her little arms will quiver, but if he slows down, she looks at him like, "what's your problem?".

She's all about holding her head up. She hasn't quite mastered it yet, but she sure is trying. It's pretty incredible being that she's only 2 weeks old today.

As soon as I get the camera back I promise, PINKY promise I'll post more. 'Till then, enjoy this one....
